AFCON: FANS HAIL ETHIOPIAN REFEREE BAMLAK TESSEMA AS THE BEST REFEREE

Bamlack Tessema from Ethiopia has been rated as the best referee of the 2021 AFCON for the way he controlled the West African derby between Senegal and Burkina Faso with outright professionalism.

Bamlak Tessema Weyesa from Ethiopia had a great day in officiating the crunch and cagey encounter between the Stallions of Burkina Faso and the Teranga Lions of Senegal.

The Ethiopia Referee Weyesa got almost all his decisions spotted on in the Semi-Finals encounter and the Africa fans have commended him for Being accurate and ensuring precision is nothing strange to him as a Medical Researcher and a Clinical Coordinator. Bamlack Tessema Weyesa is a medical researcher, a clinical coordinator at the Addis Ababa University. Weyesa is also a graduate of Sociology from Addis Abeba University.

As leading referee in Ethiopia, he started to referee in 2003 and became international FIFA referee in 2009 with Djibouti vs Somalia in 2010 as his first international match.

Top Ethiopian referee Bamlack Tessema has officiated the first semi-final match of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations between Burkina Faso and Senegal. Tessema has handled two games at the tournament already Senegal v Guinea Group B match and Cameroon v Comoros Round of 16 games.
